A company is, above all, its people: their skills and experience determine our effectiveness. What technical skills are essential for the production team?
Here, it really works like this: as the company grows, so do the people. Last year, we created the position of Deputy Production Manager for Development to better identify potential within our employees and support their paths to specialist or leadership roles. For example, someone from the packaging department recently joined the team of technologists.
We value commitment, precision, and responsibility- often these qualities are more important than prior experience. We have a solid onboarding and training system that helps new employees quickly adapt to the environment of contract electronics manufacturing. Sometimes, even after the trial period, someone advances two levels.
We regularly conduct training: in THT assembly, soldering, and quality control, because we want our team to have real opportunities to grow in key areas.
Do you believe the strength of Elhurt EMS lies in its team?
Absolutely, the strength of Elhurt EMS is in its people. We have a fantastic team that not only knows their job but also knows how to react, think, and act where automation alone isn’t enough.
Technology is important, but it’s the attentiveness, experience, and engagement of people that often determine the final result. That’s why we invest in team development, because even the best machines won’t do anything without people who know how to use them wisely.
How has this job changed you over the years? What skills or mindset do you have now that you didn’t before?
At Elhurt, I’ve gone through a long journey, both professionally and personally. I used to be more closed off, hesitant to embrace change, but now I’m someone who initiates it. I used to say, “this makes no sense,” and now I think, “how can we do this differently?” Working at Elhurt EMS, with all its challenges and fast pace, has taught me flexibility and a positive attitude toward problems. The more that’s going on, the more I feel this is where I belong.
What kind of leader do you strive to be for your team? What matters most to you in working with people?
I focus on understanding and taking an individual approach. I know I can be direct, but I try to adapt my leadership style to the person, not everyone responds the same way. To me, a good leader is someone who leads from the front, takes responsibility, sets an example, and isn’t afraid of hard work. That kind of leadership has always impressed me, and I aim to live up to it. Whether I succeed, the people I work with every day would know best.
