Elhurt EMS will take part in World of Industry, Technology & Science 2026 in Utrecht. The event combines three areas: World of Electronics, World of Industry and World of Laboratory, presenting technologies and solutions used in product development, manufacturing and research.
The organisers present this year’s edition as a place where investment in technology, innovation and productivity meets cooperation between industry, science and technology providers. For companies developing electronic devices, creating a new solution is only part of the challenge. The product must also be prepared for reliable and scalable manufacturing.
The World of Electronics programme focuses on four main areas:
The sessions cover both emerging technologies and the practical challenges involved in implementing them, including traceability, reliability, compliance, hardware architecture decisions and the transition from concept to a complete device.
The practical nature of the event is also reflected in the EMI Sniffer project. Visitors will be able to collect the components required to build a device for measuring electromagnetic radiation from participating booths.
One of the World of Electronics sessions focuses on early supplier involvement. It explores how involving an EMS partner at an earlier stage can support the optimisation of manufacturability, testability, reliability and product costs.
From the Elhurt EMS perspective, this means analysing documentation and manufacturing requirements before regular production begins. As part of DfM and DfT, we identify assembly, integration and testing risks that could later affect quality, schedules or process repeatability.
The next stage may be NPI, including process preparation, prototype or pilot batch production, testing and the preparation of an implementation report.
A separate part of the programme is dedicated to the future of the European electronics industry. Speakers will discuss strategic dependencies, Europe’s position in global value chains, the European Chips Act and ways to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and expertise within the region.
The programme also includes the presentation “The European EMS Industry — A Market in Transition”, addressing the development of the European electronics manufacturing services market and the differences between sectors currently experiencing growth and those facing greater challenges.
For OEMs, this creates a need to reassess manufacturing locations, resource availability, supply security and the ability of an EMS partner to support a product through the different stages of its lifecycle.
Embedded AI and new hardware architectures expand the capabilities of machines, measurement systems and industrial devices. At the same time, they increase the importance of version control, appropriate component selection, repeatable programming and testing.
Elhurt EMS does not develop embedded software or design complete devices from scratch. Our role is to prepare and manage the manufacturing process based on the customer’s documentation.
We analyse schematics, BOMs and PCB layouts, qualify components in the context of a specific project, prepare manufacturing documentation and organise assembly, quality control and functional testing.
New device functions often require changes to components, documentation and testing methods. If information from these areas is not managed together, a project may enter production with risks that were not visible during the development stage.
Elhurt EMS supports customers in analysing component availability, EOL risks and the potential use of alternatives. As part of our EMS activities, we do not sell individual components. We select, qualify and procure them for a specific manufacturing project.
The scope of cooperation may include SMT and THT assembly, testing, AOI and ICT inspection, traceability, final assembly, warehousing and logistics.
